Covenant Community at Risen

At Risen, our version of church membership is called Covenant Community. We believe that we are better together, for the glory of God, the abundance of our lives and for the good of the world.

3-Step Covenant Community Process

STEP 1: WELCOME LUNCH

(1 Hour - We go over our Vision + Values)

STEP 2: BIG STORY COURSE

(5 Weeks - We go over Gospel Mission + Formation)

STEP 3: MEET WITH A PASTOR

(1 hour - Meet with one of the pastors to go over commitments)

Our Covenant Community Commitments

Having trusted in Jesus alone as my Savior and Lord, and being in agreement with the Vision, Values and Beliefs of Risen Church, I believe I have been led by God to join this church family. By God’s grace and the Holy Spirit’s power, I commit to the following:

(1) Share in the life of THE CHURCH:  

In gospel-centered worship & whole life discipleship.

Joining a community group or serve team.

In economic & financial support.  

In acts of justice, mercy and care for the marginalized.

(Romans 12:1-3; 1 Peter 1:22; Heb. 10:25; Matt. 22:36-40; 1 Thess. 5;16-18; 1 Cor. 16:2) 

(2) Protect the peace and unity of THE CHURCH:

Committing to love and truth in your relationships with others.

Practice repentance, forgiveness and reconciliation. 

Following godly leadership, submitting to their care and discernment.

(Ephesians 4:29; Philippians 2:3-7; Hebrews 13:17) 

(3)Participate in God’s mission IN THE WORLD:

Though vocational stewardship.

Doing justice, loving mercy and walking humbly with our God.

(1 Pet. 4:10-11; Ephesians 4:11-12; Micah 6:8)
