Risen Church Child Safety Protocols

SAFETY & SECURITY

We believe that it is of utmost importance that our children are nurtured in a safe and responsible environment.

  1. Each volunteer in our ministry is required to complete an application process, which includes a background

    check.

  2. Each volunteer is required to read and agree to follow the stipulations in Risen's Kids Ministry Policies and Procedure manual.

  3. There is a Two-Adult rule in place for all classrooms. This means there should always be two adults present while children are there. If there is a situation in which there is only one adult, the door to the room should be open.

COVID-19 PROTOCOLS

Our primary goal at Risen Kids Club is to keep everyone as safe as possible. When referring to symptoms, please reference the list below:

  • Fever of 100 or higher

  • Congestion or Runny nose

  • Cough

  • Sore Throat

  • Muscle Aches

  • Difficulty breathing

  • New loss of taste or smell

  • Nausea

  • Diarrhea

If anyone in your household is exhibiting one or more of the above symptoms or has been exposed to a known COVID-19 positive case, or believes they may have been exposed to COVID-19, the child/children must quarantine for 10 days before returning to class OR until a negative COVID test result is obtained. Children who are fully vaccinated do NOT need to quarantine after contact with someone who had COVID-19 unless they have symptoms. We do encourage fully vaccinated children to get tested 5-7 days after their exposure. To help prevent community spread of COVID-19: Each parent/Guardian understands and agrees that if his/her child(ren) tests positive for COVID-19 and attended an indoor church activity within the exposure period, they must disclose this information to the Risen Kids Club director in a timely manner. All children & volunteers will no longer be required to wear a mask indoors, although it is still strongly recommended.

PARENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Alerts and Requests - If your child has any allergies or special conditions, please explain them to the volunteer leading your child's class. Alert the volunteers if the child is potty training.

Items you Bring - Please label all of your child's belongings, including diaper bags, cups, bottles, pacifiers, etc. All bottles must be pre-mixed for health & sanitation reasons. Please leave all toys at home as they can get lost or cause other children to be upset.

Check In - All parents are required to sign their child in at the check-in table and affix a name tag on the back of each child.

Pick Up - Check-out will occur in each child's classroom area.

Volunteering - We encourage parents to volunteer in our classes. We kindly request that all parents volunteer in class at least once every 5 weeks.
