Home Worship
INTRODUCTION
The corporate worship gathering is such a vital part of the weekly rhythm within the body of Christ. While we are temporarily unable to gather in large settings, we recommend that you conduct your own home worship. The Church is so much more than a building or a Sunday event, but it is about the people -- wherever God’s people are -- the Church is there. This Sunday and for the remainder of March, we are choosing home worship guided by our liturgy. Liturgy is the form of worship that a church participates in when it assembles. Liturgy simply means “the work of the people.” It means that our worship is participatory. This is what we embody in our large and small assembly as our vision statement states, "the Gospel unites us." All the elements of our worship is centered on the Gospel and takes the form of the following:
Call to Worship - We are invited to worship as God’s “calls” on us.
Praise & music - We respond & express our worship in gratitude through music and song.
Prayer - We are listening & talking to God.
Passing the Peace aka “Family Time” - We extend God’s welcome to one another.
Scripture Reading - We proclaim the Gospel from God’s word.
A Message - We expound the Gospel and its implications.
Prayer & Reflection - We confess & repent of our sins, and we believe in the Gospel.
Benediction - We are sent out with a blessing.
The benefit of liturgy is that whether in corporate assembly, in smaller ones or when we cannot assemble, as in this case, we can still worship. Provided are the guidelines and these can be done individually or as a family/ household. We invite you to start your worship on Sunday at 10:00AM. If another time works best for your family, that is totally fine.
Before you begin, do the following:
Print out the guidelines, or have them open on a computer, mobile device or tablet. You will need them for instructions.
Search up the music & sermon videos on Youtube ahead of time. Both the sermon & music videos are on the same playlist.
