YOUTH RESOURCES
Youth & The Whole Church…
Rethinking Youth Formation invites us to imagine youth ministry as more than a program or weekly gathering. It calls the whole church to share in the formation of young people through supported households, trusted adults, meaningful participation in worship, healthy friendships, service, and relationships across generations. The goal is not simply to keep students connected through graduation, but to help them become deeply rooted, lifelong followers of Jesus who know they are loved, needed, equipped, and sent.
Crafting a Family Rule of Life
A Family Rule of Life is an intentional way of shaping your family’s rhythms around what matters most. Together, you name your core values and create simple practices that help those values become part of your everyday life. It’s not about adding more rules or striving for perfection, but creating a shared vision for how you want to love God, love one another, spend your time, and live with purpose together.
High School Liturgies
An 8-Week Curriculum/ Guide for High School Groups, sessions that help high schoolers belong to Christ and to the whole church, using Risen's shared Community Group liturgy, grounded in Scripture, and shaped by Risen's approach to youth formation.
Each week follows the familiar rhythm, Opening Prayer, Announcements, Connection, Spiritual Practice, Closing Prayer, with Scripture, questions, and exercises:
Identity rooted in the character of Jesus, not achievement, popularity, or performance culture.
Curiosity over certainty, students get room for honest questions and doubts without being corrected in the moment.
Whole-person formation, practices that engage the heart, imagination, and body (contemplative prayer, journaling, testimony), not only information.
Faith formed in ordinary life, a “Take It Home” practice every week that connects the group to family and daily life, echoing Deuteronomy 6.
Real responsibility, not token roles, Week 7 gives students an actual need to meet, not a filler activity.
Trusted adults beyond the small group, Week 8 sends every student toward at least one additional adult relationship at Risen.
